has made hardwood shakuhachi for the University of Hawaii, and
for Riley Lee and his students for many years. These
exquisite hardwood shakuhachi are famous for their
reliability, precision tuning, ruggedness, and
absolute beauty.
Most shakuhachi players love the tradition and enchanting sound of bamboo. However, as most of us have experienced, bamboo can be very temperamental if not taken care of properly. A fine quality hardwood shakuhachi can be an excellent alternative to a bamboo instrument or an addition to your present shakuhachi collection.
